Runaway and Homeless Youth Program
The Runaway and Homeless Youth Program offers 24 hour crisis intervention which provides services to runaway youth and youth that are locked out of their homes or refuse to return home. Temporary foster care may be used as well as mediation and short-term counseling. (Available in LaSalle, Putnam, Bureau, Stark and Marshall counties).
In addition to this crisis intervention work, this program provides family centered casework to any youth ages, 11-17, and his/her family, residing in those counties.

This casework may address issues including, but not limited to:
Runaway and homelessness
Family communication problems
Peer relations
Delinquency
Truancy and other school issues
Other serious issues experienced during adolescence
Our staff is here to support children and families with personalized, compassionate care in their home, school and community.
YSB has a team of case workers that focuses on key areas of a young person’s life, including peer relationships, school adjustment, self-esteem, decision-making, family communication, and alcohol and drug prevention.
In addition to working directly with youth, our team listens closely to both parent and child concerns, offering thoughtful recommendations and support. When additional services are needed, we can connect families with other trusted agencies. YSB staff also collaborate with schools and community partners to ensure each child’s unique needs are understood and met.
