Other Funding Sources

Applicants must include any funding they have already applied for or received when submitting a request.
Exclusions
The Brighter Futures Fund cannot provide:
- Cash payments made directly to parents or caregivers
- Gift cards or prepaid debit cards
- Reimbursement for purchases already made without prior approval
- Funding for expenses that can reasonably be covered through other available resources
When a request is approved, payments will be made directly to the organization, vendor, or service provider.
Request Review
Each request is reviewed individually based on the child’s needs, the availability of funds, and how well the request aligns with the purpose of the Brighter Futures Fund.
Applicants can generally expect a response within 5 business days of submission. You may be asked to provide more information before a decision is made.
Submission of a request does not guarantee funding.
Applications should be submitted at least two (2) weeks before registration/payment deadline.
Families are responsible for signing up for/registering approved activities.
The Brighter Futures Extracurricular Fund helps children participate in opportunities that support their growth, confidence, and development. The fund is designed to remove financial barriers so children can take part in meaningful enrichment activities.
Kori* is going to attend Karate classes twice a week for the next 4 months. This is a new activity for her. She and her foster mom hope that the discipline and physical activity of martial arts will help her build self confidence and positive coping skills.
The martial arts studio that she’s attending graciously waived her registration fee, to help make this happen. We appreciate when community members step up to help our kids!
